Tabernacles

The following narrative is taken from the book “Your People Shall Be My People”, by Don Finto.

Five days after Yom Kippur is Sukkoth, the Feast of Tabernacles (or Booths), the last of Israel’s major feasts (the other two are Passover and Pentecost), which every Jewish male was required to attend. This was the time of the final ingathering of the harvest, anticipating the immense harvest of souls prior to Yeshua’s return. Through this annual feast, the people of God were made aware of their years of wandering and of the temporary nature of their earthly housing as, for eight days each year, the faithful dwell in a sukkah (booth). The apostle tells us that Jesus “tabernacled among us” (John 1:14, KJV). Our dwelling is also temporary. The greatest “housing” – many mansions – lies ahead!
