In his final message of this powerful series Tim Alsbaugh brings closure to the life of Samuel and Saul’s reign. He encourages listeners that there is a time to move forward and let go of the past; there is a time to move on to the next opportunity. The kingdom is going to be started out of a new beginning—not the past. He warns us that what is good is not always God and sometimes our own desires are in fact not God’s highest and best. Saul’s kingship was the result of the desire of the people; it was the result of the rejection of God’s kingship.
