Bishop Ed Peecher – February 21, 2006

Bishop Ed Peecher from New Heritage Cathedral in inner city Chicago. He is on the Board of Directors for the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. This pastor of thousands visited the House of David with Pastor Sunday Adelaja from God's Embassy Church in Kiev, November 2005.

Bishop Ed Peecher shared his enthusiasm for dreaming big and believing for the impossible that he takes around the world with the House of David tonight. He pastors New Heritage Cathedral in Chicago, Illinois which is located in an area of the city that was once without hope. The purchase of a 110 year old Catholic church campus sparked a revival for the area when the first building permit in 43 years was issued to begin a $4.5 million renovation.

This ministry's vision comes from Isaiah 58:12: they have been prophesied to be" the repairer of the breech and the restorer of the streets in which to dwell." The Lord God keeps His Word! In the past one and a half years, 200 new homes have been built with another 600 planned. A few blocks away, a $1.3 billion project by the University of Chicago is in the works. Then in His tremendous favor toward His children, the Lord saw to it that the Cathedral's $4.5 million mortgage was forgiven in exchange for a one time payment of $750,000 to the mortgage holder!

This one time Black Panther member was saved in 1973 and just three months later began studies at Moody Bible Institute. Bishop Ed told how his life was completely changed on the day he accepted Jesus as His Savior. His wife came home to find him totally saturated in the Word asking if he what he had lost he intended to find in the Bible. He answered that he hadn't lost anything, but he surely intended to find something. And now 33 years of marriage later they have three children and four grandchildren. New heritage Cathedral was born from a Bible study that Bishop began in 1983.

The Message form Bishop Ed Peecher

"The One New Man will rock the nation. It is an idea whose time has come. This is the kind of revelation that will set the church free," was the opening for Bishop Ed's teaching tonight from Psalm chapter one.

The One New Man is the blessed man set apart in Psalm 1:1. God has deposited His Blessing in the earth realm and we are to develop the proper attitude to walk in the Blessing. Psalm chapter one describes the characteristics of the blessed man. This man takes the Word as the Perfect Law of Liberty and the Word recreates man in the image of God as he meditates on it.

The blessed man bears fruit and has leaves that never die. When Jesus saw the fig tree with leaves but no fruit He cursed it because it was a perversion of the way He created it. Bishop Ed described it as an "abhorrent growth." He created it to produce fruit. The leaves are intended to be the beginning of the growth of the fruit. This is the same type of "abhorrent reproduction" in cancer cells and other disease. We are to talk to these diseases the way Jesus talked to the fig tree. Speak to the mountain.

The third trait described of the blessed man is that he is 100% successful. The Word says that whatever he does will prosper. The Lord wants His children blessed so that they can think big. The Lord is saying, " I am looking for someone who is bold enough to believe in Me." Bishop closed by saying that "the Lord is looking for big, bold dreamers in Grove, OK."

Let us look into the Law of Liberty and let God describe to each of us who we are. We must believe it when we say, "I am what the Lord says I am."
