House of David welcomed as its guest speaker Bishop Paul Nya, senior leader of "Go Fetch Them International Ministries" in Togo, Africa.
Bishop Paul came declaring a word for House of David: “We are in a race and We Are Going To Finish Well!” Whatever circumstance the enemy has before us, we will finish well. However, there is a difference in finishing and finishing well, before you finish well you must finish without being disqualified. Matt. 14:22-32 laid out the steps to finishing well. Jesus had just finished the miracle of feeding the 5000 and instead of glorifying Himself or boasting His accomplishment He went out alone to pray, He knew He must be in constant communication with God. Jesus sent the disciples out in the boat but continued to watch them and as He began to see the storm develop He came down from the mountain and walked upon the water to save the disciples tossed at sea. As Peter saw Him he asked for Jesus to speak a Rhema Word that he could come to Him and walk on the water, he asked for the Word of God. Once Peter received the Word he had to step out of the boat in obedience. Then upon the water he had to maintain his focus, as he lost focus he began to sink. Another thing which led to Peter’s decent was his own selfishness, Peter asked the Lord to call him out of the boat not concerning himself with the other disciples who were in the boat with him. Therefore selfishness will cause you not to finish well. It also takes faith, Bishop Paul likes to explain faith in this way: “faith is seeing what God says in His Word” Finally we must not forget the Name of the Lord. When Peter sank he cried out to Jesus and was restored.
