December 6, 2005. The Lord continued His work in bringing outstanding men and women of God to the House when Pastor Wade Markham, his wife and other members of Cowboy Junction Church in Vinita were our guests. Cowboy Junction is coming alongside House of David in supporting the ongoing project in Sderot, Israel. They have made a commitment to financially sow into Sderot for the next six months.
Pastor Wade shared two key scriptures in his life and ministry. Proverbs 3:5,6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart...He will direct your paths," & Psalm 133 "How good and pleasant it is for brothers to dwell in unity..." Cowboy Junction's ministry, which began in 1989, is a testimony to Pastor Wade's statement that when the dream is from God, He will send the resources. Those being people and money. Since the ministry's beginning in a barn the Lord has enabled it to operate with the ability to be debt free from one building project before beginning another. Their most recent dream that has become reality is a restaurant that is very close to being debt free through the Lord's abundance. The restaurant serves as a safe comfortable place for its patrons. Pastor Wade told the House of David that they are not able to make such financial gains because they have a lot of money it is because they are givers.
In sharing his own testimony of accepting Yeshua as his Lord and Saviour, Pastor Wade said that he has learned that when a man tries to do his own thing he lives in the "what ifs." Until a man finds his identity and security in His Creator his life is based on performance. Understanding God's love for His children allows us to operate in the "what is" as we commit ourselves to the process already established.
February 28, 2006. How is it that a very traditional Catholic Church and very non traditional Cowboy Junction can meet together to minister to our community? And how is it that House of David and Cowboy Junction can come together to minister to Israel? How does the Lord unite people with very different backgrounds for the purpose of sharing the gospel?
Believers have these seven traits in common. We believe that:
1) Each one of us is created in the image of God
2) God created each person with greatness
3) Everyone is born sinful
4) We all need a redeemer
5) Jesus was buried - he took the wrath for us
6) Jesus was raised from the dead
7) Each one of us is given a sovereign right to make a choice - will we choose Jesus?
Pastor Wade was also a guest speaker at the Passover 2007 and Pentecost 2007 Tent of Meetings.
